The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced a revision to the nomination period for the Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South District Level Elections, as well as by-elections in vacant electoral areas.

Originally set for April 1 to April 4, 2025, the new submission window will now run from Monday, April 7, to Thursday, April 10, 2025.

In an official statement, the EC cited the declaration of April 1, 2025, as a public holiday as the reason for the change. However, the time and venues for submission remain unchanged, and aspiring candidates are encouraged to take note of the revised schedule.

The elections, scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, will be conducted in accordance with the District Level Elections Regulations, 2015 (C.I. 89). These elections aim to elect new Assembly and Unit Committee Members following the expiration of their terms.

Additionally, by-elections will be held on the same day to fill vacancies resulting from the resignation or demise of Assembly Members.
