The Volta Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the deployment of 180 officers from the region as temporary personnel for the National Security Council Secretariat.
In a statement dated March 28, 2025, and signed by Acting Regional Secretary Bright Kwashie Ege, the NDC revealed that ten individuals from each constituency had been selected for the role, with appointments set to take effect on April 2, 2025.
The newly appointed officers will be tasked with gathering intelligence and reporting potential threats to peace and security in their respective constituencies.
The party congratulated the selected officers, urging them to exhibit competence and dedication in their roles. Plans are also in place for the Volta Regional Minister to conduct an orientation session and provide necessary support to facilitate their duties.
This initiative is seen as part of a broader strategy to enhance national security through localized intelligence gathering.
