Renowned Ghanaian journalist, Captain Smart, has stirred controversy with shocking allegations against the New Patriotic Party (NPP). During his Onua Maakye show, the former NPP loyalist accused the party of plotting to poison certain individuals both within and outside its ranks.

According to Captain Smart, those allegedly targeted include prominent figures such as Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, football legend Abedi Pele, select pastors, and bankers. He claimed to have insider knowledge of the alleged activities taking place within the Jubilee House, Ghana's seat of government, and warned that these individuals are in imminent danger.

These explosive claims have sent shockwaves through Ghana’s political landscape, raising concerns about the safety of those named.

Social Media Reactions

The accusations have sparked intense debate on social media, with many expressing disbelief while others questioned Captain Smart's credibility.

One user, Lawrence Arthur, commented, "Oh Captain, is that how far you've gone? How much do you want some of us to anymore believe in what you say?"

Another user, Ben Dampare, shared a stronger opinion, saying, "Captain Smart should be examined. Abedi Pele, come quickly to set the record straight because some Ghanaians are crazy, and their aim is to foment trouble. Smart, your intentions are known, and people like you will see no peace in your old age."

Political Implications

The seriousness of these accusations cannot be overstated, especially given Captain Smart's former allegiance to the NPP. It remains to be seen how the accused individuals and the NPP will respond to these claims, but the political atmosphere in Ghana could become even more charged as the story develops.
