Growing up in Goka, a town in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana, Alomo discovered his passion for music at a young age. As a child, his charming looks earned him the nickname “Alomo,” which translates to “husband” in Twi, a term of endearment given to him by the ladies in his community. This name stuck, eventually becoming his artist moniker.

Early Inspirations and Growth: Alomo’s love for music was sparked in 2009, heavily influenced by Ghanaian rap legends Sarkodie and Yaa Pono. He admired their craft and often mimicked their styles while honing his own skills. “I used to rap like Sarkodie, but at a point, people began telling me I sounded like Guru,” he shares. Despite the comparisons, Alomo’s journey has been about finding his unique voice and style.

Alomo prides himself on being versatile, dabbling in all genres and embracing new sounds every day. His creativity knows no bounds. “I don’t struggle when writing a song,” he says. “I look at things around me, and the words start flowing.” This effortless approach has resulted in music that resonates with his listeners.

Like many artists, Alomo faced discrimination and negativity on his journey. However, he overcame these hurdles through determination and resilience, recording more songs and delivering impactful verses and choruses. “The level I am at now makes me super proud,” he reflects. “Unlike before, when I recorded on my phone, now everyone can listen to my music on any streaming platform.”

Releases and Upcoming Projects: Alomo has already released several singles, drawing inspiration from the people who embraced his music. While he has yet to collaborate with other artists or perform on big stages, his ambition knows no bounds. He is preparing to release a new EP, which he plans to promote through radio and TV appearances. “The EP is for everyone,” he says enthusiastically.

Known for his calm and respectful demeanor, Alomo believes his personality positively reflects in his music. “I am submissive to anyone who comes close to me and always eager to learn,” he states. His Christian faith also plays a significant role in shaping his art, often leading him to create music that preaches or advises.

Future Aspirations: As Alomo continues to make strides in his music career, his story serves as an inspiration to many, reminding them that success is possible with dedication and faith.

In the next few years, Alomo envisions his music reaching audiences worldwide. His ultimate goal as an artist is to help up-and-coming talents when he achieves fame. His single “Change Ghana” exemplifies his dedication to his country, resonating with fans who share his patriotism. Distributed by Apprise Music, the release is available on all digital songs.
