2024 Elections: King of Igbo's in Ghana Dr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu congratulate president elect John Mahama

The Paramount King of the Igbo Community in Ghana, Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to former president John Mahama for his successful election campaign. Dr. Ihenetu, known for his philanthropy and commitment to community development, praised Mahama's leadership skills and dedication to improving the lives of Ghanaians.

Eze Igbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has joined other Africans leaders to congratulate the President – elect, over his electoral victory in the December 7, 2024, presidential election.

Speaking from his palace in Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu congratulated the newly elected President of Ghana, Dr. John Mahama, for his landmark victory at the poll, describing the election as one of the most peaceful, free, and fair elections conducted in the annals of history.

Commending the presidential candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, for demonstrating rare leadership and sportsmanship by conceding defeat and congratulating the winner, Eze Ihenetu said he has written his name in the sands of time as a democrat, true patriot, and statesman who places the interest of the nation above personal interest and that of his political party.

His Royal Majesty expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ghanaians for conducting a peaceful election process devoid of mayhem that would disrupt national peace.

Lauding the efforts of all agencies, rulers, and individuals who worked indefatigably to ensure peace is maintained, he admired Ghana's team spirit as a united people fighting for the maintenance of peace.

Underscoring Ghana's trajectory of peace, HRM Ihenetu indicated that Ghana has performed remarkably well since its democratic years and has also exhibited maturity in preserving its peace, which other African countries look up to.

The Igbo King in Ghana called on other countries in Africa and beyond to emulate Ghana's peaceful coexistence in conducting general elections.

HRM Ihenetu again sent his good wishes to Ghanaian youth for comporting themselves during and after the elections.
