The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners Ltd and Dzata Cement Ltd, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, on Friday, 22nd November 2024, donated a brand-new 35-seater bus to his alma mater, Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO).

The donation was made on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama by his Special Aide, Rafik Mahama, during a student durbar held at the school premises in Tamale. The event was well attended, with the Old Tamascan Association fully represented.

According to Mr. Rafik Mahama, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama is committed to improving the lives of students on campus and supporting the vulnerable or less privileged in society.

"Mr. Ibrahim Mahama sent me from Accra to present the bus to the NSMQ team and the entire student population. He wanted to be here himself, but he was caught up with equally important engagements. We hope this gesture will help alleviate some of the transportation challenges on campus and inspire the students to study hard as they aspire to become great people in society,” he noted.

Receiving the bus on behalf of the school, the Headmaster expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for his continuous support.

“This is a commendable gesture, and it will greatly ease the transportation challenges the school faces, especially for the NSMQ team. As an alumnus of the school, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama is also funding the construction of a 1,200-bed ultra-modern dormitory for the school. Once completed, it will address the accommodation challenges faced by students on campus. Work on the project has been progressing very well since it resumed last September," he expressed.

The construction of the 1,200-bed ultra-modern dormitory is now 90% complete. Initially designed as a 700-bed facility, the capacity was increased to 1,200 beds based on advice from experienced engineers.

The entire project is fully financed by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama.
