The Ministry of Railway Development, in collaboration with the Ghana Railway Authority, is set to commence passenger services on the Tema-Mpakadan Railway line starting the first week of November, as confirmed by Peace FM.
In preparation for the upcoming launch of the Tema-Akosombo-Mpakadan Railway, the Ghana Railway Authority has shared important details on operational services for residents in communities along the route.
According to a statement from the Railway Authority, the official launch of the service is scheduled for the second week of November 2024, with passenger operations beginning in the third week of November 2024.
The train will run from Tema to Juapong, stopping at several stations along the way, including Tema Harbour, Tema Industrial Area, Ashaiman, Afienya, Shai Hills, Doryumu, Kpong, and Juapong.
