The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened registration for the 2025 WASSCE for Private Candidates, First Series, also known as WASSCE Resit. This provides an opportunity for candidates to improve their grades in one or two subjects without waiting a full year.

Follow these steps to successfully register for the WASSCE Resit:

1. Check Eligibility
Ensure you are eligible to participate in the examination. The WASSCE Resit is designed for private candidates who wish to improve their grades in specific subjects.


2. Visit the Official WAEC Website
Go to the WAEC website to access detailed registration instructions. The official portal contains all necessary guidelines for the registration process.


3. Obtain a Registration PIN
Purchase a registration PIN from an authorized WAEC agent or accredited vendor. The PIN is essential for accessing the registration platform.


4. Complete Your Registration Online

Log in to the WAEC registration portal using your purchased PIN.

Fill in your personal details, including name, date of birth, and contact information.

Select the subjects you wish to resit.

Upload a passport-sized photograph and any other required documents.



5. Verify and Submit
Double-check all the information provided to ensure accuracy. Once satisfied, submit your registration form.


6. Print Confirmation Slip
After submission, print your confirmation slip. This serves as proof of registration and contains important details about the examination.


7. Register at Approved Internet Cafés
