'It's heartbreaking,' says Ashanti Regional Police Commander after police officer found dead in Bobiri.

According to adomonline today, the Ghana Police Service has verified the death of G/Sgt Amoah Moses. On Tuesday, his body was discovered in the Bobiri Forest near Kubease, in the Ashanti Region's Juaben Municipality.

The officer, who was stationed at the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters in Kumasi, was located when officers responded to a distress call.

The event occurred after authorities got an emergency alert regarding a possible case of distress in the Bobiri Forest area. Officers responded promptly to check the situation and were horrified to find their colleague's body.

"It is heartbreaking to lose one of our own in such a tragic manner," stated the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, expressing the service's sincere regret.

The police have initiated an investigation into the officer's death, while preliminary indications indicate that he may have been attacked.

The body of G/Sgt Amoah Moses was discovered in an advanced condition of decomposition, fueling conjecture regarding his demise.

Locals in the vicinity were similarly shocked by the tragedy, with many describing the Bobiri Forest as a tranquil and pleasant place.

"We are all in shock. "We never expected this to happen here," claimed a Kubease resident who chose to remain unidentified.

The police have informed the public that they will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

"We will stop at nothing to find out what happened to our colleague," said the Ashanti Regional Police Commander.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have asked anyone with knowledge to come forward and help with the case.

G/Sgt Amoah Moses, recognized for his dedication and hard work in the force, is remembered by his colleagues as a dedicated officer.
