Following the NPP's historic setback in the 2024 general elections, tensions have grown within the political party.

The blame game has begun, and the current MP for Subin, Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi, has been outspoken about Nana Addo, Ken Ofori Atta, and Gabby Otchere Darko as the reasons they lost.

As we all know, Kennedy Agyapong competed for the role of flagbearer alongside Dr Bawumia, Kwabena Agyapong, Alan Kyeremateng, and many other NPP leaders.

Following rising tensions and the need to restore order quickly, certain NPP sections have begun pushing for Kennedy Agyapong as the party's next flagbearer.

Currently, a dozen Kennedy Agyapong for 2028 posters have taken over Kumasi.
