A prominent figure in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has voiced hope that her party will prevail in the next, pivotal presidential and legislative elections. The NDC is confident that it would win the upcoming general elections since the party's flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has been predicted to win by a number of reliable surveys. Additionally, the NDC hopes to overtake its main opponent, the New Patriotic Party, for legislative seats.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the flagbearer and running mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party, will be held accountable for the suffering endured by Ghanaians over the past eight years, according to Amanda Okyere, NDC National Deputy Director of Logistics and Protocol, with only two months until the elections.
She claims that the current administration has caused Ghanaians to endure severe economic problems, driving many of them below the poverty line as a result of bad policy decisions. In light of this, Amanda Okyere has made it clear that Ghanaians would remove the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from power on December 7.
In a post shared by Accra-based GHone TV on its verified Facebook page, Amanda Okyere maintained that the people of Ghana will express their displeasure about the way the Akufo Addo-led administration has managed the economy of the country by voting massively against Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia in about two months.
After December 7, it is unclear where the power pendulum will swing.
