According to President-elect John Dramani Mahama, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) 2024 electoral failure was the most predictable.

He asserts that the political party's loss of the election was clear from the start and that their insistence that they would have prevailed is a sign that they were out of touch with the actual situation.

According to John Dramani Mahama, the New Patriotic Party might not have listened to Ghanaians' grievances over the numerous injustices occurring under the current administration.

He clarified that Bawumia's assertions that the NPP hoped to win the election showed a lack of awareness of the situation on the ground.

"It reached a stage where the NPP's democracy was not what we were all accustomed to. It was clear that they had lost their sense of what was going on in the nation.

"This election was the simplest to predict, therefore I don't think that people's grievances and all that got through. They ought to have anticipated the defeat.

Vice President Bawumia expressed disappointment, saying that they had put in a lot of effort and believed they would win; after all, it was clear they would lose this election. He informed Alan Kyerematen and his Alliance for Revolutionary Change that this indicated that they were out of touch with the reality on the ground.
