Portraits of Akufo-Addo are already being removed, only hours after President-elect John Dramani Mahama's successful inauguration.
In a video posted on X, Akufo-Addo's photo was taken off the foyer wall of what appears to be an undisclosed hotel.
In the following days, photographs of John Dramani Mahama will be displayed in lobbies and workplaces throughout Ghana.
On January 7, 2025, 21 heads of state from Africa and beyond attended President-Elect John Dramani Mahama's inaugural ceremony.
According to a release from the Ministry of Information, three (3) Vice Presidents, four Ministers, and twenty-four envoys were also invited to the inauguration ceremony.
Some religious leaders, celebrities, and influential Ghanaians attended the inauguration.
