His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia confirmed the passing of a well-known Islamic leader in Tamale in a Facebook post on Friday, November 29, 2024. Shaykh Baba Repairer is the name of the well-known Islamic leader who passed away in the Northern Region of Tamale, according to His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. In his Facebook message, the vice president expressed his sorrow.

The loss of Shaykh Baba Repairer, a respected Islamic leader, well-known Tijaniya Muqaddam in Tamale, and a loyal disciple of Shaykh Ibrahim Nyass Al-Kaolahi, has come to my attention with great regret.

A pillar of faith, Shaykh Baba gained great respect both inside and outside of the Muslim community for his unflinching devotion to Islam and selfless service. Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, my presidential campaign's deputy campaign manager, was his son.



The Muslim Ummah has suffered a significant loss with his departure. Personally, I will miss his advice's purity.

My deepest sympathies go out to his family, the Tijaniya fraternity, and everyone else who was impacted by his generosity and wisdom.
