According to news reports, a bunch of political party thugs assaulted Nana Asante Bediatuo's official apartment in Roman Ridge. As you may have be aware, Nana Asante Bediatuo serves as President Akufo Addo's secretary. Nana Asante Bediatuo is currently receiving medical care outside the nation.

The attack took place yesterday, after the gang had been turned away on December 27 and 30, 2024. According to reports, the attackers pushed their way into the residence after learning that Nana Asante Bediatuo had left the country.

According to eyewitnesses, some 20 men arrived at the apartment, intent to get admission. The security guards on duty attempted to stop them from entering, but the thugs overpowered them and forced their way inside. The motive for the incident is unknown, however some sources believe it is tied to political tensions following the recent election and happenings in the country.

According to security officials, the group paid two visits to Nana Asante Bediatuo's home prior to the incident, seeking to meet with him. On both instances, they were told he was unavailable and out of the country. However, their actions yesterday indicate that they were unwilling to accept the explanation and chose to take matters into their own hands.



Police were later dispatched to the site to restore order. Investigations have already begun to identify those responsible and determine the motivation behind the attack. Authorities are also scrutinizing security footage to help with the investigation.

Nana Asante Bediatuo, a respected legal practitioner and President's secretary, has yet to provide a public statement regarding the incident. According to a Jubilee House report, he is currently receiving medical treatment outside of the nation.
