President Nana Akufo-Addo will preside over a magnificent National Honours and Awards Ceremony to recognize outstanding individuals for their contributions to Ghana's prosperity.
The event strives to highlight selfless service and great achievements in a variety of fields, reinforcing the value of national brilliance and dedication.
A letter issued by Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare urged all nominees to attend on time and seated by 11 a.m. The dress code, which reflects Ghana's rich cultural background, promotes formal or traditional clothes, including prominent options like Kente, Fugu, and suits.
Nominees are also allowed to bring up to two family members to participate in the renowned event. Personal invitation cards signed by the President have been distributed to the honorees, emphasizing the significance of the event.
The National Honours and Awards Ceremony is designed to recognize persons who have made a significant contribution to the country. It not only recognizes these accomplishments, but also inspires others to make substantial contributions to the nation's progress.
Five categories of awards will be presented during the ceremony:
Order of the Star and Eagles of Ghana
Order of the Star of Ghana
Order of the Volta
The Medal for Gallantry
The Grand Medal
These awards recognise excellence, bravery, and outstanding service in diverse fields, highlighting the values of dedication and patriotism.
