GHOne TV reported on Tuesday that a motorbike carrying two couples returning from shopping at Makola Market was involved in a deadly accident.

Eyewitnesses stated that the motorcycle crashed with a fast automobile on the main highway, killing all four occupants on the spot.

According to reports, the couples spent the afternoon at Makola Market shopping for household necessities.

"I saw them at the market earlier, laughing and carrying bags full of items," claimed a trader who knew the victims.

"They seemed so happy and carefree."

According to bystanders, the motorcycle rider attempted to overtake a vehicle but underestimated the distance of an approaching car.

"We shouted at him to slow down," said Kwame, a witness on the scene.

"However, it was too late. The automobile collided with the motorcycle head-on, hurling everyone into the air.

The accident occurred on a poorly lighted stretch of road, making it difficult for the driver of the automobile to notice the motorcycle.

Residents report that this section of the roadway has been a hotspot for accidents due to a lack of lamps and adequate signs.

Emergency personnel arrived quickly, but they were unable to save the victims. "It's heartbreaking," one paramedic stated.

"We are always urging people to wear helmets and avoid overloading motorbikes, but accidents like this keep happening."

Family relatives of the deceased came at the scene in tears after learning the tragic news.

"My brother and his wife were so full of life," one family member wailed. "They didn't deserve to die like this."

Police are currently investigating the incident. The driver of the car involved in the accident has been taken into custody to aid with the investigation.

Police are also asking motorcycle riders to prioritize safety and follow traffic laws.

"This is a wake-up call for everyone," declared the district police commander. "We must do more to ensure our roads are safe for all users."
