As the clock struck midnight on December 31, 2024, Ghanaian prophets took to the pulpits to give their divine revelations for the coming year.

The 31st Night Prophecies ritual is a highly awaited occasion in Ghana, during which prophets claim to receive visions and messages from God.

Prior to New Year's Eve, the Ghana Police Service warned faith-based organisations and individuals not to spread false information or prophesies that could cause fear, panic, or harm lives.

However, the tradition of predictions continued to dominate the liturgies that welcomed most Christians into 2025.

Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah

Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, predicted that Ghana would have a dramatic economic turnaround by 2025.

He said that God had revealed to him that the country will experience an increase in investments, resulting in job creation and economic prosperity.

Rev. Bempah's 31st Night predictions, which are known for their spectacular declarations, frequently gain attention, particularly when they concern national politics, governance, and the nation's well-being.

This year, his comments foreshadowed key events for Ghana and the world, some of which spurred discussions that will undoubtedly echo until 2025.

Here are some of the significant prophecies that stuck out during his service on December 31st.

1. Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should fast and pray for the inauguration of John Dramani Mahama on January 7, 2025.

According to him, the NDC must seek divine intervention to secure a smooth transition and the stability of Mahama's future leadership.

2. Ghana's former president will die.

Rev. Bempah revealed that Ghana's former president would die in the near future. Though the identity of the former leader is unknown, this foreboding forecast has sparked widespread curiosity.

3. The death of a well-known religious figure

Another concerning prophecy was Bempah's prognosis about the death of a well-known religious person.

While he did not identify, his statements point to the likely loss of a significant Christian leader, which may send shockwaves through Ghana's spiritual community.

4. Plane collisions in the United States

Rev. Bempah also discussed a disturbing vision for the United States, which predicts airplane crashes or accidents.

The nature of these catastrophes was unclear, but his forecast suggests that the United States may suffer serious transportation or aviation issues in the coming year.

5. Notable deaths in Ghana.

The prophet predicted that several high-profile deaths in the country would have far-reaching consequences.

6. Deadly illnesses will invade Ghana.

Rev. Owusu Bempah emphasized the possibility of dangerous diseases making their way to Ghana, urged the population to be attentive and take the appropriate precautions.

7. A massive tree in the Ashanti Region will fall.

In another notable prophecy, Bempah predicted the demise of a famous figure in the Ashanti Region, referred to symbolically as a "mighty tree."

8. A famous chief of Asante Juaben may die.

Building on his earlier forecast, Bempah explicitly highlighted the Asante Juaben region, where a renowned chief is expected to die.

9. Ghana is expected to record the deaths of outgoing and new ministers

Another scary forecast concerned the deaths of both outgoing and incoming ministers in Ghana. With political shifts in mind, Bempah predicts that certain significant political players will be lost during the next year, potentially affecting both the current administration and those who will take over in the coming years.

10. Constitutional modifications, despite challenges.

Rev. Bempah also predicted that Ghana's constitution would be amended in 2025, despite resistance and difficulty.

11. Ghana needs prayer for outgoing and incoming vice presidents.

Rev. Bempah emphasized the significance of praying for the vice presidents, both outgoing and incoming, during the approaching political transition.

12. Do not put excessive pressure on President John Mahama following the inauguration.

Finally, the prophet's statements about John Dramani Mahama's presidency were encouraging and warning. While he appreciated Mahama's genuine intentions, he asked Ghanaians to refrain from putting undue pressure on the president following his inauguration. Bempah stated that Ghana's recovery under Mahama's leadership will be gradual, and that the country must give him time and space to address the difficulties he will inherit.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie

Rev. Bempah had others in his company, including Nigel Gaisie, the founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, who released his own set of prophecies for 2025.

Gaisie told his congregation during the December 31, 2024, Watch Night service that God revealed to him these prophecies, which have worldwide implications.

Nigel Gaisie's 2025 forecasts cover politics, security, and traditional institutions:

1. 2025 will be a successful and profitable year.

"This year will be really wonderful and productive. "It will be a prosperous year," he remarked.

2. A religion other than Christianity will dominate Europe.

"I envisioned a religion other than Christianity sweeping Europe. The Lord urged me to inform Christian leaders that we needed to do more. If Christian leaders around the world, including me and any other God-fearing men and women, do not act, we shall see another religion emerge in Europe. I witnessed France and other regions of Europe being overwhelmed by this new religion, similar to what happened in Turkey. We must pray and evangelize more; otherwise, Christianity's influence in Europe may be reduced to zero."

6. Black Stars will qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Gaisie boldly predicted that the Black Stars would qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

7. Security threats in Ghana for January 7th, 8th, and 9th.
On January 7th, 8th, and 9th, he issued a warning about potential security threats to Ghana, urging people to be vigilant in order to avoid disaster.

8. Ghanaians should be vigilant and pray before and after the inauguration ceremony in January 2025.

"The Lord said we should be cautious on the following dates: January 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th." We must pray and be alert. I've seen numerous things, but I'm being cautious. However, I reiterate and make it clear: if Ghana falls asleep on certain days, something bad may happen. After January 7, when the president-elect is sworn in, people should continue to pray, keep awake, and be vigilant. "May Ghana not fall asleep, and may happiness not cause people to lose their vigilance," he proclaimed.

9. A vice president of a West African country will die

Gaisie predicted the death of a vice president from a West African nation.

10. Attacks against two traditional chiefs, involving beheading

He warned of brutal attacks on two traditional leaders, including possible destooling and decapitation.

11. Significant loss of a famous female personality from the Central Region

Gaisie projected a public funeral for a famous female person from Ghana's Central Region, citing the unfortunate death of former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur as an example.

12. Prayers required for an American media personality. Oprah Winfrey

He asked for prayers for American media magnate Oprah Winfrey, implying that she may have health issues.

Prophet Nigel Gaisie also warned of impending disasters, such as floods and fires, which he said will strike various sections of the country. He urged Ghanaians to pray for divine protection.

Other prophets, such as Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah of the Royalhouse Chapel International, delivered prophecies of political stability and spiritual enlightenment.

Pastor Elvis Agyemang, the founder of Grace Mountain Ministry, also discussed a pandemic, stating that it would be worse than COVID-19 and very communicable.

He exhorted the church to remain attentive and powerful in the place of prayer.

While some Ghanaians took the 31st Night Prophecies seriously, others questioned their accuracy and intentions.

Nonetheless, the celebration remains an important aspect of Ghana's spiritual landscape, with many Christians looking for guidance and inspiration in the new year.
