Samira Bawumia, Ghana's Vice President's wife, has conveyed her deep gratitude to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) faithful followers for their unflinching commitment throughout the 2024 election campaign. In a Facebook post on Friday, December 27, 2024, she praised the millions of NPP supporters, underlining that their enthusiasm, determination, and loyalty were critical to the campaign's efforts and ultimate success.

Mrs. Bawumia used the occasion to appeal for sustained unity within the party as it enters the new year. She asked members and supporters to remain focused and collaborate on the common aim of "building back stronger for the greater good" of Ghana. Her address emphasized the value of teamwork and joint action as the country prepares for the challenges and opportunities of the next year.

Earlier this week, the NPP announced the formation of an Election Review Committee to investigate the causes for the party's defeat in the 2024 elections. The National Chairman of the NPP, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, has stated that the committee's activities will begin in January 2025. The committee will consult with numerous stakeholders and the general public to gather constructive feedback, which will be used to improve the party's strategies and lead its reorganization efforts.

The evaluation findings are expected to play an important role in determining the NPP's preparations for future elections. By implementing the lessons learnt, the party wants to refine its strategy and achieve better outcomes in future electoral cycles.
