After a ballot issuer was observed cutting off Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's portrait from 15 ballots, voting at the Temporal Boot Bayere polling station in Apesika, Kintampo South Constituency, was momentarily suspended.

The ripped votes were distributed to voters by the ballot issuer in the Bono East region, where the incident took place.

The Electoral Commission acted right away to resolve the matter, and the offender was swiftly taken into custody.

After the problem was fixed, voting proceeded, and in order to maintain the integrity of the election process, officials are looking into the matter.
