The Electoral Commission's choice to give the contract for printing election materials to YASARKO has drawn criticism from the NDC.

Adomonline reported on Friday, October 25, 2024, that YASARKO's poor performance has caused a number of obstacles for the National Democratic Congress' "Eagle Eyes" initiative, which aims to monitor the vote printing process.

Concerns regarding YASARKO's dependability were heightened when Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, NDC's Director of Elections and IT, took to Facebook to accuse the corporation of continuously breaching its contractual commitments.

NDC agents assigned to oversee the ballot printing process have been frustrated by YASARKO's persistent failures around-the-clock.

Dr. Boamah raised concerns about YASARKO's ability to deliver and possible anomalies in the contract award, criticizing the company's constant excuses and the Electoral Commission's procurement process.

Agents from the NDC are worried that YASARKO may have printed ballots off-site, endangering the integrity and security of election materials.

After learning that more votes were created than were required, the team decided to work with the printing businesses to monitor and appropriately dispose of the extra ballots, guaranteeing accountability and transparency in the election process.

What thorough investigation did the Electoral Commission carry out prior to designating YASARKO as the printer? The Electoral Commission and any company that thinks they won the printing contract by OUTSOURCING and then smuggling the ballots printed elsewhere into the system, rather than by current capacity and competence, must be kidding!

In order to promote electoral transparency and accountability, Omane Boamah commended the NDC's #EAGLEEYES team, which consists of agents Richard Jakpa, Lawyer Natongmah, Atamudzi, Malik, and others. They are diligently monitoring the ballot printing process, identifying excessive printing, and ensuring companies reduce their surplus.
