As the votes draw near, numerous analyses have attempted to evaluate Ghanaians' choices while paying particular attention to the presidential contenders. In an effort to gauge Ghanaians' current preferences, GhOne TV recently conducted a virtual survey over Twitter.

The overwhelming favorite, former President John Dramani Mahama, defeated his main rival, current Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, by a resounding 78.6% of the vote. Although it is not official, the results of this virtual poll offer valuable information on the attitudes and excitement of voters today, especially among younger, tech-savvy groups that use social media. However, the Vice President only received a small portion of the votes, suggesting that Dr. Bawumia's support was far weaker than Mahama's.
