Ghana National Honours 2024: Complete List of Award Recipients.

The Ghana National Honours 2024 ceremony, held at the Jubilee House in Accra, recognized individuals and organizations for their great achievements to the country. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo presided over the ceremony, which celebrated distinction in a variety of disciplines such as governance, public service, healthcare, and innovation.

The Order of the Star of Ghana, Ghana's highest civilian award, was bestowed to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in recognition of his transformative leadership in digitization and economic reforms. Dr. Bawumia's innovative ideas have improved public service delivery, winning him both national and international recognition.

Several famous figures received the Order of the Volta. Legal luminary Sam Okudzeto and parliamentary leader Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu were both honored for their outstanding achievements to law and governance. Angela List, a significant player in the mining industry, also won an award for her efforts to advance sustainable mining practices in Ghana.

In the healthcare sector, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, was recognized for his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, frontline healthcare personnel received a collective medal for their heroic efforts in combatting the pandemic.

The Ghana Statistical Service and the Electoral Commission were recognized for their outstanding performance in public service delivery. The Statistical Service was praised for its precise handling of the 2021 Population and Housing Census, while the Electoral Commission was honored for guaranteeing calm and transparent elections.

The occasion also honored businesspeople, academics, and security personnel whose contributions have considerably aided national growth. The Ghana National Honours 2024 commemorate the important contributions of individuals and institutions to the country's advancement and prosperity.
