Four armed robbers have stormed the Adabraka Market in Accra in a daylight robbery.

The heavily armed thieves in masks attacked a man inside a parked red Toyota Corolla in a widely shared video on Facebook.

Witnesses said that the thieves brandished their weapons as they approached the automobile and immediately started shooting several shots into the air to scatter the throng.

As shots were fired all across the market, shoppers and vendors scurried for cover, crouching under booths and running to safety in the widely shared video.

Large bags of cash were swiftly taken by the bandits as they pushed their way into the red Toyota. They fired bullets as they quickly loaded the luggage into their getaway car and left the scene. The footage also showed one of the criminals flinging some cash onto the street.
