Hopeson Adorye, the Director for Special Duties in Alan Kyeremanteng's Movement of Change, has made a stir by allegedly seizing control of Kotoka International Airport to prevent New Patriotic Party (NPP) appointees from leaving the country. This brave measure comes after the recent general elections, in which coalitions are still being formed to select the winner.

Adorye made the news on social media, stating, "No government official will travel from now on." I am taking over the airport with immediate effect." Many perceive his move as a response to corruption charges and future prosecution, with the goal of preventing government officials from departing the country.

The scenario at the airport has caused widespread worry, raising doubts about Adorye's motives. While others see his actions as a calculated ploy to exert power, the full consequences are still unfolding. Adorye's experience, which includes his controversial expulsion from the KIA VVIP sector in 2019 and his firing from the National Security Secretariat in 2022, complicates current occurrences.

Despite the uproar, Adorye has gotten public support from his wife, famed Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty, who believes in her husband and their shared ideals.
