Abena Moet has explained that she did not mean any harm when she questioned Nana Ama McBrown's credentials as a TV broadcaster.

Abena Moet raised the matter on GHOne's Toast show, voicing her concerns over the experienced actress's switch to hosting, which she believes is out of character for McBrown's otherwise stellar career.

"I didn't insult her," Abena said during the conversation. "I merely expressed concern about her competence in this new environment. She's a fantastic actor, without a doubt, but television presenting is a different ballgame."

Abena mentioned McBrown's popular shows, Cooking with McBrown and United Showbiz, which air on UTV.

While both programs received a lot of attention, she felt they fell short of establishing McBrown's credibility as a TV anchor.

"These shows didn't showcase the depth one would expect from someone trying to build a solid portfolio in this field," she told me. "Her presence as a presenter doesn't carry the same weight as her acting roles."

The controversy over McBrown's transition to television has raged, spurred by her daring switch from acting to hosting in a competitive media environment.
