Mavis Hawa Koomson, the current MP for Awutu Senya East, has taken a daring stance on how she will handle the upcoming general elections in 2024. She promised to address any complaints when the elections are over, but she would not respond to any personal provocation from her political rivals during the election time, she told the media during the polls.

Hawa Koomson assured reporters that she has matured as a politician and that her approach to politics has become more professional. "It is not my strength; God is the source of my victories. God controls the proportion as well, and I don't think I'll have a lower number than 60%," she said.

Koomson reacted to a question concerning possible conflicts with opponents with impressive poise. "I won't mind my opponent during the elections, even if she slaps me," she said. After the elections in 2024, I will strike back. You have witnessed the significant difference in our efforts. I am a mature politician, and if you are mature in your actions, you must always demonstrate your professionalism and maturity."

Koomson went into additional detail about her position, stating that she has put a lot of effort into improving her political attitude and that she would not act in an unprofessional manner. "I resemble a professional politician in most ways. It can't be a response since I wouldn't want to descend into the gutters with the people who are now arriving. I make a commitment at the start of 2021 that I will never do this again in 2024. I won't mind if my opponent slaps me while I'm standing here, but I will strike back when we're finished," she said.

Her comments have raised eyebrows, as she appeared to suggest that she would reserve her response to any potential provocations until after the elections have concluded.
