Following her election as the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, is scheduled to return to Ghana tomorrow morning, and her supporters are preparing to greet her with gusto.

Her supporters want to make her entrance as the recently elected Secretary-General of the Commonwealth a memorable one.

Ayorkor Botchwey will be given a special welcome by the party, which has made bus arrangements to meet her at the airport, according to a statement. Residents of the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency can pick up their belongings at four separate locations: Ablekuma curve, Party Office, HON OT SPOT, and Anyaa Market.

Residents of Olebu Agape and Ablekuma Fanmilk are expected to converge on Ablekuma curve, while those from Sowutuom Santa Maria Lomnava and Ante-Aku will gather at the Party Office.

Residents from Awoshie Anyaa East and West will gather in Anyaa Market, while those from Nii Okaiman West/East will congregate at HON OT SPOT.

The departure time for all buses is set for 7:00 am sharp, and supporters are encouraged to come dressed in their party’s paraphernalia to show their support and appreciation for Ayorkor Botchwey’s achievements.

As a four-term legislator and experienced diplomat, her election as Secretary-General of the Commonwealth is a significant milestone, not just for her, but for Ghana and the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency as a whole.

Ayorkor Botchwey has gained a great deal of respect and recognition for her commitment to public service and to advancing Ghana's interests internationally. Ghana's foreign policy has been greatly influenced by her vision and leadership, and her election as Secretary-General of the Commonwealth is evidence of her diligence and commitment.
