Borga Silvia, a Kumawood actor, has once again found herself in the spotlight, but this time it isn't because she is mourning the death of her elder sister, who died last year.

Instead, a 60-year-old Australian man called Thomas Adjei, also known as Okyeame, accused Borga Silvia and her mother, Tina Adu, of defrauding him of AU$25,000.

Okyeame spoke about his ordeal on Auntie Naa's Oyerepa Afutuo show on Friday, February 2, 2024. He claimed that he met Borga Silvia 20 years ago in Australia, when his residency documents had expired. In a desperate attempt to extend his stay, he sought Borga Silvia's help via a marriage arrangement.

According to Okyeame, Borga Silvia's mother, Tina Adu, sought AU$10,000 up front to enable the arrangement. He complied and spent an additional AU$15,000 on their wedding, which was scheduled to take place in Ghana. However, Borga Silvia abruptly canceled the wedding moments before it began, much to his disappointment.

Okyeame claims that he has tried unsuccessfully to reclaim his money for the past two decades. His irritation has reached a boiling point, prompting him to publicly demand the return of his monies, as well as 200% annual interest for the time elapsed.

On the show, he gave a severe warning: "I'm giving you a one-week ultimatum to return my money or else I'll show you where the power lies."

This unfolding drama has fascinated many people and sparked speculation about the circumstances around the charges. The public is waiting for a reaction from Borga Silvia and her mother, as the situation continues to gain traction.
