Maa Lydia, the current MP for Ayawaso West, has threatened to punish harshly with the security officer who exposed her. This comes after Maa Lydia chose to make a courtesy call to her constituents ahead of the December 7 general election.

Maa Lydia planned to share oil and rice with the people in her constituency, as she always did, in order to win their votes. This was unknown to Ghanaians until a security officer resorted to social media to declare that Maa Lydia's plan to buy his vote with oil and rice would not succeed. According to a post by actor turned politician John Dumelo, which was noticed by Gh Page, the security guard's life is in danger.

According to the farmer, he received a message indicating that Maa Lydia had threatened the security guard for exposing her.
