Mahama appoints Kofi Boakye and four others to the Interim National Security Coordinating Team.

COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd)

President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has announced the formation of a six-member team to supervise and coordinate national security concerns that are pending substantive appointments.

The team will be directed by Prosper Douglas Bani, the former Minister of the Interior.

The team also includes Lt. General Peter Augustine Slay (Rtd.), former Chief of Defence Staff, Kofi Totobi Quakyi, former Minister for National Security, Larry Gbevlo-Lartey Esq., former National Security Coordinator, Brigadier General Fuseini Iddrissu (Rtd.), and COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd.).

According to a statement written by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Special Assistant to the President, "their mandate begins on Tuesday, January 7, 2025."
