John Mahama, Ghana's president-elect, has named his transition team.
Hon. Julius Debrah will co-chair the 10-member team. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi, Goosie Tanoh, and Dr. Edward Omane Boamah are among the other team members.
This is stated in a news release signed by National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Director Sammy Gyamfi on December 10.
In order to ensure a seamless transition of political power to the next administration, the team will collaborate closely with members of the departing government, according to the press release.
The Transition Team is made up of "experienced individuals drawn from various sectors, including finance, governance, and public administration," according to the news release, demonstrating a dedication to effectiveness and proficiency during the handover phase.
The team members are as follows:
1. Hon. Julius Debrah - Co-Chairperson
2. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia - Member
3. Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey - Member
4. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Member/Secretary to the Transition Team
5. Dr. Valerie Sawyer - Member
6. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi - Member
7. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson - Member
8. Hon. Mahama Ayariga - Member
9. Hon. Goosie Tanoh - Member
10. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah - Member
In addition to these appointments, Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho has been nominated to serve as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council.
