John Dramani Mahama, the former president and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), thanked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for its time, saying it had helped Ghanaians understand the clear distinctions between the two major political parties.
Mahama told supporters that he thinks Ghanaians have had a personal look at how each party approaches governing during this time under the NPP.
Mahama said, "I always get down on my knees and thank God for putting Akufo-Addo and Bawumia in power." "Ghanaians would not have appreciated our efforts to the fullest extent if we had won in 2016." People can now realize how different our record is from theirs.
Mahama underlined that he believes the NPP has done everything it can in its eight years in power and that Ghanaians now have the responsibility of selecting a party that will put their interests first. He maintained that the nation's economic growth and development were more steady under NDC leadership, and he is sure that Ghanaians have noticed the change.
He urged voters to consider the advancements made during his former administration, saying, "The people of Ghana now have something to compare, and we clearly stand out as the better choice." Mahama's remarks emphasize his campaign argument, which is that an NDC government would provide a more efficient and people-centered approach to tackling Ghana's present problems, as the elections approach.
