According to a report on GHOne TV today, the body of a missing woman was discovered in a jungle in Bondo town, Kenya.

Mary Achieng, 32, had been missing for several days before a passerby discovered her death.

The victim, which had been gruesomely mangled, was discovered with her skull severed. Authorities were notified shortly after the finding, and inquiries into her death began right away.

Police arrived on the scene and determined that the body was that of Achieng', who had been reported missing by her family earlier in the week.

"We received a report from concerned members of the public, and upon investigation, it was confirmed that the body was that of Mary Achieng'," said Chief Inspector Samuel Waweru, who is overseeing the probe.

"The condition of the body suggests a brutal act of violence, and we are working tirelessly to find those responsible for this crime."

The deceased's family is in shock and disbelief. Mrs. Rose Ochieng', her distraught mother, spoke to local reporters about her sadness.

"I don't know how to express the agony I'm experiencing. Mary was my daughter, and now she's gone. She had a long life ahead of her, and this is how it ends? "I can't believe it," she exclaimed, tears flowing down her cheeks.

The brutality of the crime has rocked the Bondo community as well. Many residents have expressed their worry and displeasure about the tragedy.

"What a sad thing to happen in our village. "We don't understand why anyone would do this to a woman," remarked a local who requested anonymity.

The police have launched a manhunt for the killers and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

"We are doing everything we can to ensure that justice is served," said Chief Inspector Waweru. "We will not rest until the perpetrators are brought to book."
