Nana Ama McBrown, a well-known actress and television broadcaster, has joined the Bus Stop Boys, a volunteer organization that is actively cleaning gutters in Accra. McBrown and a Holy Insecticides team rolled up their sleeves to deal with the garbage clogging the drains at Swanlake in North Kaneshie during the exercise.
Speaking during the cleanup, McBrown urged greater public support for the Bus Stop Boys' efforts and commended their commitment. "The Bus Stop Boys are doing a great job, but they need more help." I have thus scheduled time to join them clean today," she stated. As promised, McBrown actively participated in the task, going into one of the gutters to clear away trash and standing water. Setting an example for others, she braved the stink and began to work with a head pan in hand.
She emphasized that everyone has a responsibility to keep the environment clean by reminding the audience that "the Bus Stop Boys clean up the mess we all create as citizens." Despite the difficult circumstances, McBrown remained determined. "Today, I'll also help clean the gutters.
