According to 3news, three young guys were killed after a failed robbery attempt at a retail establishment in Accra, Ghana, on Monday evening.

The event occurred in the bustling East Legon neighborhood, which is noted for its high foot traffic and thriving business operations.

According to eyewitnesses, the three robbers, all in their late twenties, entered the renowned store shortly before it closed. Armed with firearms, they threatened the store and the customers, demanding cash and belongings.

"Give us everything you have, or we will shoot!" one of the robbers allegedly yelled during the incident.

However, the criminals' strategy quickly proved disastrous. The shopkeeper, who was familiar with similar circumstances, remained calm and activated a silent alarm, alerting neighboring authorities.

At the same time, a private security guard stationed outside the store ran to the scene. Armed with a handgun, the guard confronted the criminals.

A shootout broke out between the security guard and the robbers, and all three suspects were killed.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing several gunshots before the situation was brought under control. Law enforcement responded shortly after and secured the site, preventing additional casualties.

Police are currently investigating the suspects' activities to establish whether they were part of a bigger criminal organization.

Authorities have advised residents to remain vigilant and report any unusual activities in their communities.

"We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any criminal activity to the authorities as soon as possible," a police official stated.

Although the robbery attempt resulted in the murder of the suspects, authorities highlight that crime should always be dealt with in a legal and peaceful manner. "Violence is never the solution; we must continue.
