Okatakyie Afrifa, the host of Angel FM's morning show, has finally responded to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's defeat by sending a message to John Dramani Mahama. In a recent Facebook post, Okatakyie Afrifa declared that Ghanaians voted for change. With humility, he showed his admiration for the decision of Ghana's decent people.

Following that, Okatakyie Afrifa congratulated John Dramani Mahama and the NDC on their win. As you may be aware, Okatakyie Afrifa is a New Patriotic Party (NPP) member. He has constantly projected that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win the 2024 elections and has frequently claimed that John Dramani Mahama has little to offer Ghanaians if elected president again.

This response follows John Dramani Mahama, the former president of Ghana, winning a historic victory in the 2024 presidential election. Mahama defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia while representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Following his tenure as president from 2012 to 2017, Mahama's victory signifies his return to the presidency.

Renegotiating parts of the IMF bailout agreement and generating employment through a promised 24-hour economy were two of Mahama's campaign's main objectives. Voters' discontent with the way the current administration is managing the economy is reflected in his return.

The victor of the 2024 elections has not yet been formally announced by the Ghanaian Electoral Commission. Nonetheless, it is well recognized from a number of sources that the NDC's John Dramani Mahama has won the elections. The percentage difference between the NDC and the NPP has not yet been disclosed by the EC.
