Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's presidential candidate, has said that on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, he will start a sensitization tour in Tema about the use of solar-powered outboard motors.

In order to show everyone how these solar-powered outboard motors operate, we are planning to bring all of the chief fisherman to Tema on Wednesday.

He claims that solar energy will assist in lowering the price of premix fuel purchase as well as the unethical activities associated with it.
Our fisherman are having trouble acquiring premix fuel, so I have a fresh idea because there is a lot of corruption in the distribution of premix fuel. To eliminate the need for our fisherman to purchase premix fuel, let's switch from premix fuel to outboard motors that are powered by solar energy.

Some solar-powered outboard motors have begun operating in Apam and will continue in Tema, he said.

We've brought in outboard motors that run on solar electricity. This has already been completed; we completed it in Apam.

He went on to say, "This will help the fishermen become extremely wealthy because they don't have to spend a lot of money on it."
