President John Dramani Mahama has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Kwasi Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie, a senior media executive and political adviser. The acclaimed broadcaster and pioneer of Radio Gold died today, February 1, 2021.
In a moving homage, President John Dramani Mahama praised Baffoe-Bonnie as a friend and brother who made invaluable contributions to Ghana's media landscape and democracy.

Baffoe-Bonnie was instrumental in creating Ghana's media business, particularly through his founding of Network Broadcasting Company Limited, which ran Radio Gold, Montie FM, and TV Gold. His media platforms helped shape the country's political conversation.
In addition to his media profession, he worked as a Senior Political Advisor to John Dramani Mahama, the Vice President from 2009 to 2012. Following President John Dramani Mahama's election, Baffoe-Bonnie served as a Presidential Staffer and Senior Advisor on Political Affairs from 2012 to 2016.
