Amakye Dede, a prominent Ghanaian artist, was engaged in a horrible vehicle accident after playing on stage in Takoradi. Amakye Dede's management issued a lengthy statement on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, to confirm the terrible news.

However, according to the management report, all of the team members involved in the horrible road accident, including Legend Amakye Dede, are safe, despite the fact that the most of them incurred minor injuries.

"It is with great worry that we tell our cherished followers, partners, and the general public of a tragic accident involving the legendary Amakye Dede and his team on Sunday, December 29, 2024, about 1:50 a.m. The incident occurred on their way from Takoradi, following a successful performance at the Takoradi City Mall, to Agona Swedru for their next scheduled event.

The accident occurred between Apam and Winneba. Amakye Dede and his colleagues were promptly transferred to Winneba Hospital, where they received first aid from 2:00 until 6:00 a.m. Despite the physical toll of the tragedy, Amakye Dede showed amazing loyalty to his fans by traveling to Kumasi later that morning for a planned performance. However, owing to the stress of the ordeal, he was unable to play as scheduled, so his fantastic band stepped in and delivered an unforgettable performance on his behalf.



The vehicle involved was a V8 that was carrying Amakye Dede and his management staff.

We profoundly regret the impact this has had on our loyal supporters, particularly those in Kumasi, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Your compassion, patience, and steadfast support at this difficult time are invaluable to us.
