According to an Adomonline story. In a tragic occurrence, unknown individuals set fire to Savannah Regional Minister Saeed Muhazu Jibril's corn farm in the Damongo town of the Savannah Region. The fire, which destroyed the whole harvest, has left the minister, his crew, and the local population stunned and devastated.

Despite protective measures, such as the installation of fire belts around the farm, the flames consumed the fields, reducing months of hard work to ashes. Witnesses stated that the pastor and his farm manager were stunned as they saw the disaster unfold. Farm workers, overcome with despair, could not keep back their emotions as the crops they had carefully nurtured were destroyed by the raging fire.

The farm, which was intended to considerably contribute to the local food supply, was an important source of subsistence and economic stability for the community. The loss is especially sad because it occurs at a time when the crop was expected to help homes and improve food security in Damongo and surrounding areas.

Residents in the neighborhood have voiced fury and sorrow over the tragedy, calling it as a significant setback for the region. Many people are perplexed by the motivations behind such an act, given the farm benefited not only the minister but also the larger community.

"We are all in shock," stated a resident. "This farm was a major source of food and employment for many locals. It's difficult to fathom why someone would commit such a thing.

Authorities have initiated an inquiry to find the culprits of what seems to be arson. The police and municipal officials have asked the public for information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.

While obviously disturbed, the minister has urged locals to remain calm and told them that investigations into the situation are underway. He also underlined the value of communal cohesion in the face of such hardships.

This sad tragedy has generated discussions about the necessity for stronger security measures to protect farms and other key assets in the region. For the time being, the community mourns the loss of a precious resource and hopes that the perpetrators will face justice soon.

As investigations continue, the residents of Damongo remain united in their desire for accountability and a closure to the tragedy that has left a lasting impact on their community.
