Ghanaian musician Skrewfaze, who is residing in the US, has blasted the government for not making sufficient investments in the nation's music sector. He claims that the government's lax approach to making investments and enacting sensible regulations for the sector has hampered its expansion. "The Ghanaian government never follows through on its promises to invest in the sector. "How can you expect the industry to grow if you don't invest?" he said on Property FM in Cape Coast.

He continued, "The system in Ghana isn't functioning because we lack a proper system to collect royalties for musicians, which is essential for building our industry."

He gave credit to some of his coworkers who have frequently voiced their opinions regarding the difficulties facing the sector, such as Shatta Wale. "Shatta Wale has been outspoken about Ghana's lack of a music business, although I know some people will argue that I didn't agree with him when he brought up this issue.

"We approach issues differently; we don't need to shout to be heard, but there is truth in what Shatta Wale says," he stated to Amansan Krakye.
