Following President John Dramani Mahama's inauguration, social media users ridiculed New Patriotic Party (NPP) vice presidential candidate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, called NAPO.
NAPO, who had been single for many years, married just as suspicion spread that the then-ruling NPP intended to appoint him as Dr Bawumia's running mate.
That prompted social media users to believe that he had merely married for political reasons, and that he would have a second wife once in office.
Following the party's defeat and the formal transfer of power with Mahama's inauguration, some people resorted to social media to ridicule NAPO.
"My main concern right now is what NAPO will do with the lady he married for the position of vice president," one netizen asked loudly.
