In a recent press conference, National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader Ebi Bright stated that the party is committed to holding the Electoral Commission responsible for any possible misconduct. Despite not being actively participating in the current process, Bright stressed that the NDC is keeping a close eye on it because of worries over the Electoral Commission's practices, which the party feels may be in violation of the law.

"The NDC is not involved in this process, but we cannot overlook the apparent disrespect for the law," Bright said in her speech. We are not willing to stand by and watch them do things that might be against the law. Because our concerns are founded on past behaviour, we are here to see what might happen. Being there and watching is preferable to letting them act unrestrained. She further emphasised that the NDC would not back down and would not let any illegality going unchecked.

"We will stand our ground today and see how things unfold," Bright added, expressing her confidence that the NDC could make sure the proper protocols were followed. As long as we don't let them handle everything, I think we'll have an opportunity to make sure the right things are done. We will ensure that it will be a difficult task for them, and we will not allow them to do as they please."

On December 21, 2024, GH One TV posted a video of her remarks on their official Instagram page, which caused a lot of people to react. Bright's forceful remarks demonstrate the NDC's continued dedication to guaranteeing the legitimacy and openness of the nation's election process.
