The running mate of Akua Donkor discusses her passing.

Speaking about the passing of Madam Akua Donkor, Kwabena Agyekum Appiah Kubi, often known as "Roman Fada," the running mate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) flag bearer, said, "We sent her to the Nsawam Government Hospital on Saturday since she hadn't been feeling well for a few days.

However, she was not improving, so I received a call on Sunday informing me that she would be sent to Ridge Hospital on Monday morning at around one in the morning. "The family called me yesterday afternoon to let me know she wouldn't be able to make it. On Tuesday, October 29, during Onua TV's morning show Maakye, he revealed that she was eighty-three years old.On Monday, October 28, she passed away at Ridge Hospital in Accra.

On Tuesday, October 29, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, a television journalist, confirmed the news on TV3's New Day show."Last night I was called to Ridge hospital, flanked by her daughter and relatives, running mate Appia Kubi, I saw Akua Donkor's body at the ICU around 11 PM, she had passed on," Adakabre stated.Akua Donkor made multiple presidential runs.In the 2024 presidential election, she came in third on the ballot.The late GFP leader's election as Herman's Assemblywoman marked the beginning of her presidential ambitions.

Her first attempt at the presidency came in 2012 when she applied to run as an independent candidate.
