His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect of Ghana, met with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, Nigeria's capital city.
On Monday, December 16, Mahama, who was in Nigeria on a courtesy visit, met with President Tinubu at his house in the Presidential Villa.
This was reported in a social media post by X, Olusegun Dada, the president's special assistant.
Dada stated: "President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House Yesterday."
The post included photos of President Tinubu meeting with Ghana's president-elect during their meeting.
In the photo, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, was also shown greeting Mahama to the Presidential Villa with her husband.
Mahama, 66, won Ghana's 2024 general election and will be inaugurated on January 7, 2025. He previously served as Ghana's vice president from January 2009 to July 2012.
Following the death of his predecessor, John Atta Mills, Mahama assumed office as Ghana's president on July 24, 2012. He was Ghana's president from July 24, 2012 to January 7, 2017.
