Adom Online reports that on Thursday morning, a truck transporting a container swerved out of its lane at the Dzorwulu traffic light next to the Allied Filling Station, causing considerable damage but fortunately no fatalities. The driver claimed that a brake failure was the cause of the collision, which caused significant disruption in the surrounding region.
Witnesses told Adomonline.com about the terrifying scene as the vehicle lost control and collided with other things. According to the driver, the truck veered off course due to an unexpected brake failure. Witnesses said the truck struck a streetlight first, then swung in the other direction after losing control, and finally crashed into a fence at a neighboring garage.
Both the public and the government were relieved that there were no fatalities despite the dramatic catastrophe. However, the area sustained significant damage as a result of the hit. At least three parked cars were involved in the incident; their windows were broken, and other portions of the cars were damaged. The truck's impact on the garage fence resulted in significant damage as well, expanding the list of properties impacted.
Despite the seriousness of the occurrence, there were no authorities or emergency personnel on the scene when it was reported, leaving the area in disarray. According to witnesses, the uncertainty was exacerbated by the authorities' delayed response, leaving many drivers and pedestrians unsure of what to do next.
A large number of onlookers gathered at the scene of the collision, and others attempted to clear the road by pushing the damaged cars aside. There was a sense of dissatisfaction as residents and drivers found it difficult to negotiate the scene due to the delayed government reaction. Further traffic delays resulted from vehicles maneuvering past the wreckage due to inadequate traffic control.
