Many Ghanaians expressed dismay and annoyance at the sight of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Wontumi, flaunting bars of gold in a video that went viral.

The video, which depicts the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP proudly displaying the gold in what many view as an ostentatious display, has sparked contentious discussions on social media.

Prominent political personalities, such as Joyce Bawah Mogtari of the NDC, have responded to the film by pointing out that the display is representative of the misguided goals of those in power. Joyce used the display of wealth as an example of the "nincompoops" in Jubilee House in a post on X, asking voters to "vote wisely" in the next elections.

Similar opinions have been expressed by Ghanaians from all walks of life, who emphasize the need for change and their discontent with the government's leadership. Many are now promising to cast responsible ballots in the 2024 elections, calling for leaders who genuinely put the needs of the populace ahead of their own luxury.
