A new voting date has been confirmed by the Electoral Commission after the Eastern and Western Regions special voting was postponed. Many Ghanaians have responded since then.

On December 1, 2024, the Electoral Commission posted the following on its official Facebook page:

"The Electoral Commission would like to notify the public that the Eastern and Western regions' special voting has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024. The media, security agencies, and political parties are recommended. Thank you.

Many people have responded to this release. Many people have used the comment section to air their grievances with the Electoral Commission.

A user wrote;

"The incompetence exhibited since this Jane Mensah assumed office is beyond human imagination. Some Regions and constituencies may not be able to vote on 7th December."

Another user added; "This shows EC is not prepared of this election. Whatever they are hiding we are watching them with eagle eyes."
