In a recent TV3 interview, Dennis Miracles revealed that the NPP increased Ghana's debt from 122 billion to 400 billion, but he argued that they have tangible achievements to show for it.
"In his Words"
"Unprecedentedly, no government within the period of four or five years has been able to tar the number of kilometers of roads we have tarred, over 3600 kilometers that we have tarred in the midst of the waste, okay. You came, you picked our debt from 9 billion to almost about 122 billion, you can calculate the percentage for yourself. We admittedly have removed it from 122 billion to 400 billion or whatever, but we have things to show for. We have private sectors that we have supported to generate atleast 126 factories that are operational and others that are being built you know".
"We have people who have been supported in private sectors to ensure that their businesses thrive, we are spending about a billion dollar every year to keep energy on so that TV3 doesn't have to go and buy fuel to power their plant because if they do, their operational cost will go up and they will want to lay off staff and Ghanaian citizens will go home hungry, so we shouldn't kill ourselves. Listen, in the last few weeks, I have been to several districts in this country, Friday I was in the North with the Vice President to launch the 150 million dollars project for the 48 district, they have genuine challenges, they have genuine local economic challenges that this government, in the midst of the waste that you refer to, is fixing for them", Dennis Miracles said.
